Food Fiesta

Brownsville Coffee Shop #2, Inc. along with Café Amigas, International Coffee Shop, Laredo Taco Company, Mejias Easy to Go, Plaza Garbiladi, Reader's Mark Café and Vera's BBQ Tacos & Mas featured their healthy food selection during the Healthy Communities of Brownsville First Food Fiesta held at the Southmost Community Network Center.

Food Fiesta - Healthy Communities of Brownsville held their first Food Fiesta on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the Southmost Community Network Center. The purpose of the Food Fiesta Event was to draw attention of the need to make healthy selections when eating outside the home. This event was sponsored by Healthy Communities of Brownsville Health TrendBenders, with the help of an EXPORT grant from the Hispanic Research Center supported by the NIH NCMHD P20 MD000170-04 located at the Brownsville Regional Campus of the University of Texas School of Public Health.
